I feel dawn is hesitant and warm. I attempted to convey this with the position of the figure and the play of light over her skin.

EDIT: A few notes on the corset:

The idea behind the piece was to create a sense of restrained comfort. She is facing comfort yet remains largely restrained due to her clothing -and- her reluctance to embrace the warmth she provides. As Dawn she must keep her distance and keep her comfort cold. It's only in the afternoon when the sun begins to really let down her hair.

And, on a personal note, a corset doesn't crush your ribs if you're accustommed to wearing them. In fact they can be quite comfortable. That -is- a real corset with heavy, metal boning that has the potential to take my waist down by 6 to 8 inches [depending on when I ate last] without serious discomfort. I've worn it quite frequently, even laced up completely, and it's not too bad.
